High hopes baby card

CLICK ON THE CARD FOR A BETTER LOOK!

There are no baby cards in my box so I decided that I need a couple of those, I don't have a lot of High Hopes stamps but this one is a favourite. I pulled out my TOMBO'S and watercoloured, hadn't done that in ages and it felt good to sit and play. After the colouring was done, I cut out the image and put it on the Cheery Lynn doily and put stickles on. Some score lines, a bow, sentiment from SU and bling, to finish the card off.

Hope you like it, have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Relax, this is your day!

Happy Sunday! Hope you get to relax this day! I love Sundays, we go to church and usually do something fun or relaxing, visit with friends and today we have a good, old church picnic.

My card today is for CRAFT A SCENE, my second card with a beach scene, hope you will join us in the fun too! I have used Rubbernecker stamps, they are our sponsor this month by the way, from the set by Kittie , cause a scene. Lots of images to make a beach scene. My stampscapes came in handy too, for the clouds with sun, 107 E, and cloud bits, 292 C, and the water stamp, SC 231.

A variety of Tim Holtz inks (squeezed lemonade, faded jeans, scattered straw) were used and some SU colours, baja breeze and artichoke. Borderpunch from EK, a white gelpen to highlight the water, twine, sentiment from Heartfelt creations (western sentiments). The birds are from Clear Dollar stamps. Don't forget to check out the work from the other DT members!

Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Another challenge....

Yesterday I had some time to sit and colour with my Prismacolour pencils, making a card for the challenge HERE, Crazy 4 Challenges blog and for the challenge here, Come and Get it . The challenge is to use a butterfly and for the second one flowers and a butterfly, my butterfly is done with a Joycraft die and popped up, I have added some stickles to the flower (from Inkadinkadoo) but kept the card clean and simple, the sentiment is from Verve. Thanks for looking and have a great day, Anja

Footprints in the sand.....

This month the challenge over at CRAFT A SCENE is beach scenes. I love going to the beach and enjoy the sun, the lake, swimming and some kayaking, especially when there are waves. We live about half an hour from the lake and we love it. Can you imagine sitting in that chair and looking at the waves? The poem is one of my favourites, I was so happy that I found a stamp, from Inkadinkadoo, with a part of the poem on it. This month our sponsor is RUBBERNECKER, and I happen to have some of their stamps. For this card I made a background using Tim Holtz distress inks, for the sky I used tumbled glass and then I stamped clouds from Stampscapes on it with the same ink. The water is done with broken china and faded jeans. The sanddunes (rubbernecker) and sand are done with antique linen. The green stuff is from Rubbernecker, cause a scene, and the seagulls from Stampscapes. The verse is stamped and embossed on acetate. The chair, (don't know who made it, it is a single stamp I had forever) is stamped and embossed on kraft paper, then cut out and popped up. Some brads and score lines to finish it off.

One more....second post today C4C138

I just had to make one more......and then I found out about this challenge, you can look it up HERE. My friend Andrea is on their design team. One layer and embellishments are allowed....this fits right in, I think. I made a mask with my oval nestabilities and sponged Tim Holtz distress inks on, I have used the following colours:

-tumbled glass, faded jeans, squeezed lemon, peeled paint, dried marigold.

Then I stamped the branches in Versafine black, they are from the set delicate branches, made by Inkadinkadoo, sentiment from Just Rite, fancy tags. The next step is spraying it with Tim Holtz gold glimmermist (with the mask still in place) The birds are from a Mc Gill punch, bling and ribbon from my stash. Some score lines were added with the scor pal.

This is an easy way to make a card, get out your inks and try it too! Thanks, Anja

Under the birch tree......

Another masculine card! You can read about it HERE. Have a great day, Anja
