CIC12, wedding wishes......again.....

This card is for CIC 12, it's all about ribbon and you can find details HERE
This was not really what I had in my mind for this challenge but time is running out.
Most of my cards have ribbon on them so I guess they could all "qualify". I promise I am done making wedding cards for now....
The stamp is from MSE, borderpunch from MS, Nestabilities, little heart punch, some pearls and ribbon from my stash and the dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug.
Hope your day is going well, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Wedding Wishes

There are no wedding cards left in my box and since "wedding season" is here, I better make some. This is a stamp I have never used, been in my collection for a while, I know, shame on me, LOL!
The pink flower are buttons and I cut off the back to stick them on the card.
I hope I get better at making wedding cards.....I am gonna try, maybe I should go back to flowers.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Soccer Boy

When I go fo a haircut to my wonderful hairdresser Angie, I bring some of my stamps and I get to use hers...............so we sit and stamp and talk and smile.............it can't get any better than that!! So this is one of her collection, a cute soccer boy from Stampavie.
I have watercoloured him with Tombo's and the soccer ball is popped up. I love this one!
There is a whole bunch of cute and fun images ready to be coloured, I have lots now so I put them all in a file....now all I need is time, just like most of us, LOL!
Hope your day is going well, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Having fun in my craft room....

Yesterday evening I went through my container with some leftovers and pre cut pieces, I have lots of those and came up with this card. The stamp set is from Clear Dollar Stamps, it's called Bitty Botanicals and one of my favourites. The sentiment is from Hanna stamps, the border punch from MS. I had actually never used this one but I really like how you can put the glitter dots along the line.
Today is a busy day here at the farm so I better get going. The good news is that the corn is in!!!
That makes my farmer really happy!
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Happy Mother's day

Mother's day is just around the corner so here is a Mother's day card! This PB image is very easy to colour, again I did it with prismacolours and Gamsol. I like it that the new images are a bit bigger that makes it easier. The rest of the card/layout is pretty basic and of course I had to add some stickles and flowers.
This was the only sentiment I could find in my room for this day but I know I have more........
Happy Earth Day today! I am cleaning with my eco friendly, no chemical cleaning stuff!
No, it doesn't make the cleaning fun but let's say I could use the exercise, LOL!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Keeping it in the brown tones.....

Last week I got this cute image from Stampavie and my plan was to keep it in the brown tones and I pulled out this dp from Basic Grey to go with it.....I am not sure if my plan worked..... I kept working on it, adding the punched border, the bling and the flowers.
The flowers are made with the dies from Crealies. Some sponging was added.
And now it's done!! I have coloured with prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, since I made my pencil holder/thing it's so easy to take it to the kitchen table and colour away...ha, ha, my boys make fun of me but that's okay.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

3D sympathy card

On Splitcoast there is a tutorial about 3D stamping by Beate, I had to try it out and I almost copied her card. It's easy and a it gives a really nice effect!
I have used Close to Cocoa, white and some blue out of my scrap bin, for inks I have used baja breeze and white craft , usually I keep the sympathy cards more clean and simple but not this one. If you change the sentiment it would also be nice for a birthday card............I am gonna try that today if a get a change.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great day, Anja

One more shower card....

I got carried away with those colours and making shower cards......they were made for someone else and I am glad she liked them. The colours are very unusual for me so it took me a while and now I can't seem to stop, LOL!
But I promise this is the last one....I have used an old favourite flower from SU and I also added silver paper to the mix. From all the shower cards in those colours , this one is my favourite, I still love the
flowers/bling/ribbon cards.
Have a great day and thanks for looking, Anja

Penny Black baby card

Don't you love those Penny Black images, they are so cute!!
It was so much fun to make this card, I have coloured the image with Prismacolour pencils and Gamsol and I wanted to make the card for either a boy or a girl so I choose yellow and lilac together. I haven't used buttons on my card in a long, long time, never really got the hang of it but I like it this way. I have a pair of yellow, knitted babysocks to go with this card. And of course some stickles and bling were added, what would a girl do without her bling, LOL!
The sentiment is from SU, I guess that's all what there is to say about this card.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Shower card

A shower card in burgundy and royal blue.... I have added silver and white to make it pop. I think it turned out okay, those are not my favourite colours but it's not all about me, LOL!!
This are the colours for the wedding so I went with them.
Today is another beautiful here in South Western Ontario, shorts and t shirts, enjoy it it if you have a change, and for the people in Southern Alberta, hang in there, the snow should be gone soon.
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

CAS, sending smiles to all of you!

Some old favourite stamps and a clean and simple look, that's what this card is all about. It's strange to make a card and not having to colour anything. I keep looking at this one, I think it's okay, just different.
So I am sending smiles to all of you today, have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

CIC11, bold colours

Slowly working my way through a pile of pre stamped, cute images.
This one I have used to participate in CIC 11, check it out here.
Clear Dollar stamps has a new line with coordinating cardstock and ribbon and the Copic and Tombo markers to go with it. The challenge was to use cherry go round, lime juice and bee pollen, I don't have their cardstock (yet) but I do have the Tombo's to go with those colours so I have used those to colour the cute girl. I then build my card around it. Of course I had to use some stickles. I don't use those bold colours very often but I am happy with the card.
Go check it out and play too, it's fun!
Thanks for stopping by, Anja

Just Rite Congratulations!

This picture is not the greatest, sorry! The card looks way better IRL.
It's for a wedding shower and those are the colours I was asked to use, it's an ordered card, love those!
The image is from Just Rite, sentiment from CTMH, I have used my prismacolour pencils and gamsol, some beads and in the centre a rhine stone, some silver stickles to give the final touch.
I am happy with this card hope the lady likes it too.
Have a great day, Anja

What shall I call this one?

I am not very creative in thinking of a catching title for a blog post every time.......and life has been very busy here the last couple of days....I missed a post yesterday, oh well, I have one today. This is another cute image I got from a friend, I also got the idea from her to put the sentiment in the balloon. Watercoloured with Tombo's and stickled up as usual, I would say.
It's almost bedtime for my boys, at least that's what I think, I am fighting to keep my eyes open and will go to bed when they go.....I really need to catch up on some sleep, thanks for stopping by, Anja

Playing with some leftovers

Last week I took care of the Make and Take at SGD and we made an easel card, stamping some images like this. There were some leftovers and I made this card with it.
I do like those two colours together!
The stamps are from Amy R and the sentiment from Close to my Heart, MS butterfly punch and the silver little butterflies are actually beads.
And of course some diamond stickles were added...............
Thanks for looking, take care, Anja

CDBC 4, Penny Black baby card

Penny Black keeps coming out with those cute images! I can't resist them!
This card is for the challenge over at Lauri's blog, CDBC 4, the challenge is to use dry embossing and the colour yellow on your card. I coloured the image with prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, stickled it up , cut it out and then put it on the Nestabilitie square.
The sentiment is from Verve stamps, and some bling from....
MS punch was used for the borders on the bottom and the top.
Go on over and check out the challenge yourself, while you can see all Lauri's beautiful creations!
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

More yellow and pink....

I am getting to like this colour combo.........and the girl is so cute.
Coloured with prismacolour pencils and Gamsol, dp from Basic Grey. A little bit of yellow stickles were added. I have my coat on, I have no time to post but I wanted to show you this card.
Hope your day is going well, take care, Anja

To post or not to post....

So you make a card, using unusual colours for you, it looks way better in real life than in this horrible picture, what do you do , do you post it or not???
The image is cute, a Penny Black one, coloured with prismacolours and Gamsol, stickled up a lot, waaaaaaaaay too much.............
The purple stickles look awful in the picture...............see, I posted it. That's all I have to say about this one..............
Have a great day, Anja

P.S. I did finish the cover for my Tombo's! All my good creativity must have gone into the sewing, LOL!

Sewing, and no card......again

Today I am showing you the reason for not having a card to share...I have been sewing. I have made this cover/holder for my prismacolour pencils and tools.
I also made a colour chart and they are all in chronological order. Today I am sewing one for my Tombo's...........so nice to be organized. Yesterday I also learned how to drive the four wheeler, no pictures about that but you have probably heard me screaming, LOL! It's hard to keep up with the boys!
Hopefully tomorrow I will have a card to share, thanks for stopping by, I am back to my sewing machine, Anja

Wish big!

Happy Easter to all of you! Hope your day is gonna be great.
We are off to church and then spending the day with friends at our house. We will have a big meal together, it smells pretty good in my kitchen.
I do have a card to share with you today. The image from CC design is watercoloured with Tombo's, sentiment from Penny Black. The flowers are made with a Nestabilitie die.
I have kept it pretty simple. The border is another MS punch.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Dutch sentiment card

I found some Dutch sentiments stamps online and decided to order them,
they come in handy when I wanna sent a card to Holland. Most people can understand the English sentiments but it's nice to be able to use the Dutch language. So this one says Greetings in Dutch. The flower is from Inkadinkadoo, coloured with Prismacolour pencils and gamsol.
I have combined different Nestabilities as you can see. Some stickles were added, some pearls from the Dollarstore and I did some sponging. A MS punch along the top and the bottom , the swiss dot CB folder and the scorpal to make the lines above the punch.
If you are interested in some Dutch sentiment stamps, I got them here: www.hobbystempels.nl
The service is super friendly, and super quick within a week I had them here.
I would like to wish everybody a Happy Easter and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Onesie card with pink booties

I have tried my hand on a onesie card and this is the result.
Kind of cute, I think. After I finished the card I pulled out my knitting needles and made a pair of pink booties ( is that the right word) to go with the card. It all did fit together in the envelope.
It's another beautiful day here and we just came back from church, my men are going to the Good Friday Sale in town, bear with me what they bring home this time, LOL.
My MP3 player is charging and I am going for a long walk, a good time to think up some new card ideas.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by, Anja

Elegant Easter Blessings

Today I am cheating on you, this is actually an old design from me, my Easter card from 2 years ago.....I am gonna sent it to somebody who hasn't seen this and anything new didn't really happen today, sigh, one of those days.
The sentiment is stamped on vellum and hold in place with the brads. Underneath is a piece stamped with Penny Black flowers. Simple and easy, I like the elegant look.
I am off picking up the boys from school, enjoy the sunshine or whatever weather you are having, thanks for stopping by, Anja
